2Y celebrated International Day with a wonderful assembly for us all! The children and families from 2Y are from 18 different countries! They shared dances, songs and facts about the countries they are from, with some wonderful traditional costumes too!
5G entertained us with a show all about the Romans and Anglo-Saxons. We hope the 5G parents enjoyed the eclectic mix of songs and dances!
2G told us all about the Four Nations that together make up Great Britain. This was based on their Topic work.
Class 4Y went to Palmers Green High School on 8th June to watch a French play.
1Y gave Michael Rosen a run for his money by performing many of his poems during their assembly
4G’s assembly was out of this world, with aliens visiting earth to find out more about the World Cup! Between the dancing, confident speaking and acting we were all amazed by their talents!

2G’s Assembly helped us celebrate Earth Day and show our support for environmental protection.
SPRING TERM 2018
Thanks to a generous donation from the St Monica’s Mother & Toddler group, we have had a wood sculptor come to the school to sculpt beautiful owls from a tree recently cut down.
Year 3 have been having a great time down in our forest. They have made stone age shelters, mini habitats for fictional animals, created clay tree faces and had a super time playing in the snow!
All the other Year groups have also been making excellent use of the forest this year.
1G took us on a whirlwind trip showing all the Science topics they have been learning about so far this year. They impressed us all with their knowledge and fabulous singing! They also displayed some of the things they had made for this topic which was lovely to see.
The children and staff celebrated World Book Day a week late due to snow, but this did not impact on the effort made with the activities planned across the school or the costumes! There was an amazing array of wonderful outfits and everyone had an enjoyable day. We hope the pupils enjoy choosing a book with their £1 voucher. ” […]
Our girls’ football team played in two league matches on Tuesday. They won 4-3 against Oakthorpe Primary and lost 5-3 to St Michael’s at Bowes Primary. Everyone played their best, well done girls!
6G’s assembly was all about Chinese New Year New Year which is currently being celebrated. This year is the year of the dog. They showed off their many talents including, dancing, music and singing. We hope the 6G parents enjoyed it!
2Y were joined by five Year 10 GCSE art students from Palmers Green High School. Year 2 have been learning about Florence Nightingale over the last half term. The girls taught the children how to make a lantern using oil pastels and black paper to represent the lamp that Florence Nightingale used to carry. The children were praised on their impeccable behaviour and great enthusiasm.
Year 5 were involved in the Mayor’s Award for Visual Arts and Miss Murphy from Year 1 coordinated the special project.
4G took us on a journey through the Tudor era. They told us all about King Henry VIII and his six wives and treated us to beautiful music and dance. Well done 4G.
The choir performed at the O2 together with 8,000 other children. They sung some of the 33 songs they had learnt at assembly on Thursday 1st February and really wowed everyone with the huge amount of words they had learnt. The singing was as fabulous as ever and we all really enjoyed their performance. We hope the parents enjoyed the concert too.
A massive “Well Done” to all the pupils who took part in ‘A Star is Born’ on the above 2 nights. The standard this year was phenomenal! Many thanks to all the staff who helped to organise this event.
