Transferring to Secondary School
Your child’s transfer to secondary school is an important decision you are likely to start thinking about several years before they leave primary school. We have a parents’ meeting in May of Year 5 and a more detailed one in September of Year 6.
During the first half of the Autumn term in Year 6, parents must apply for a place for their child for a secondary school. All of the application process is explained at the meeting during the Autumn term.
Parents need to complete an online application from the Local Authority in which they live.
Children in Year 6 go to a variety of Secondary schools. Click on one of the links below to find out how many children went to each school.
The two Catholic schools in the borough are;
