Welcome to
St Monica’s School
St Monica’s is a two-form entry Catholic school based near Southgate. Attendance is good with children running happily through the gate each morning! They are confident and enthusiastic learners with high standards of social behaviour and behaviour for learning. Whilst great importance is placed on academic standards, we place equal value on the development of the whole child; emotionally, socially, creatively and spiritually.

1 How does St Monica’s School identify if a child has special educational needs
At the St Monica’s Primary School, we hold termly pupil progress meeting where each child’s progress is discussed with the class teacher, headteacher, assessment coordinator and SENCO. If any child is identified as a concern, the class teacher and SENCo will monitor your child and his/her progress. If concerns persist the school will set up a meeting to discuss this with you in more detail and to:
- Listen to any concerns you may have
- Plan any additional support your child may receive
- Discuss and share Enfield’s Local Offer
- Graduated response-assess, plan, do, review (Pupil Passport)
- Discuss with you any referrals to outside professionals to support your child’s learning that may be useful
