Physical Development

This area provides opportunities for children to be active and develop their co-ordination, manipulation and movement. It involves fine motor skills, (such as being able to control a pencil to make marks), as well as gross motor skills (which involve whole body movements). It also develops an understanding of the importance of being physically active and eating healthily.

This area is made up of the following aspects:

  • Health and self-care
