School closes for the Christmas holidays at 1.00pm on Friday 19th December. We reopen on Monday 5th January 2015 at 9am. Wishing you all a peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Welcome to St Monica’s new school website!

headteacherSt Monica’s is a very happy and successful school where children are confident and enthusiastic learners.  There are two classes for each year group with a total of 420 pupils from Reception to Year 6. We are oversubscribed for places every year and have waiting lists for each year group. Attainment at St Monica’s has been consistently ‘outstanding’ at Key Stage 2 for the last five years.

The children are taught that they can be successful in many different ways, which could be anything from being a good friend to being a fantastic sports person, musician, mathematician, reader or artist; the list is endless!  We work in partnership with St Monica’s Parish to instil Gospel values in the children and to develop their faith.  The parents of our children are very supportive of the school and this is  valued as an essential ingredient for making our school as successful as it is.

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us via the school office.  There are two Open Afternoons in November for prospective Reception parents and an additional one in January (see “Admissions”).  Telephone the school office to book a place for the visit.
