The Spoken Word at St Monica’s 2023
Phonics is taught using the RWI Scheme. Writing is taught using the “Power of Reading” scheme so that children are exposed to good quality texts which inspire their writing. A range of writing genre are taught every year so that children’s skills improve in a clear and progressive way.
