‘Lights, Camel, Action! Year 2 Christmas performance Thursday 15th December 2016
We were all so impressed with Year 1’s singing and acting skills, a fantastic performance from all of you, well done!
The Reception pupils wowed their parents with a wonderful performance on Tuesday! They were all Superstars!
Well done to Years 3 and 6 for a lovely Christmas Concert. We hope the parents enjoyed it, and thank you for your generosity in the retiring collection. These photos are of their dress rehearsal to the school.

6G performed the Shakespeare classic ‘The Tempest’. They used both modern and Shakespearean language to show off how much they have learnt this half term. We hope the 6G parents enjoyed it!
Google visited St. Monica’s on Monday 14th November. They brought with them a virtual reality kit so that the children could explore various places linked to their topics e.g. Space, the human skeletal system and the Great Coral Reef.
6Y showed us what they had learned about World War 1 and how during the month of November we remember all those who lost their lives at war.

On November 6th, 20 children attended a quicksticks tournament against 5 other schools at Trent Park Hockey Club. Thank you to Fr Paulo who celebrated Mass with us for the Feast of All Saints. He came in again on Thursday 3rd November and gave a beautiful Liturgy for the Feast of All Souls in which we remembered family, friends and all those who have died. In their assembly, 1Y retold ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ with a twist, using compasses and lots of music. During this journey they told us what they had learnt this term, we hope the 1Y parents enjoyed it!
Our new pupils have completed their first half term and are enjoying their new surroundings!
St Paul’s Cathedral Year 2 had an amazing day today on their trip to St Paul’s Cathedral. They also walked to the Monument. An enjoyable and informative day was had by all.
During the month of October we pray a decade of the Rosary outside school each morning at 8.50am.
The Friends Committee would like to thank everyone who donated to Bags2School. An incredible £878.80 was raised. This money will help the school purchase much needed classroom resources. 4G collected the most bags and they had a non-uniform day as a reward.
4Y’s assembly was all about Black History Month. People should be valued and respected irrespective of colour, race or creed. They gave us a very strong message and all spoke so clearly – well done.
At our Harvest Celebration, Father Paulo joined the children and staff and blessed all our food gifts, which will be shared among those less fortunate, through the Parish Soup Run Team. An ENORMOUS thank you to everyone for their exceptionally generous gifts.
