Year 6 – Trip to Hilltop – March 2020

Our Year 6 children were very lucky to have their week away at Hilltop this year. The weather was great and they all had so much fun doing lots of outdoor activities. Learning on a residential trip involves the whole experience of sharing a room to zip wiring through the trees. The pupils quickly built relationships between themselves and the instructors, having to work in teams on some challenges. Some of the activities they participated in included; archery, mountain biking, zip wire, obstacle course, agility course tree top trial, climbing wall and abseiling. Phew! They all slept soundly (eventually) after all that and the sea air! They also had a beautiful walk to the beach, played hide and seek in the woods and had a great sing song around the bonfire. Not forgetting the good old disco! Staff and children did not want their time there to end. Unfortunately, when we returned home on the Friday we were told our school was closing because of Covid. We are so thankful our Year 6 classes got to have their trip and have those wonderful memories.
