Key Stage 1 SATs Results

When the children are in Year 2, during May, the teachers take small groups of children and assess their reading, writing, spelling, grammar and maths.  Children are continually assessed throughout the year in all subjects.  The results of the end of year assessment for English, Maths and Science are reported to parents and sent to the Local Authority and Department for Education.

Now that there are no national curriculum “levels”, children will be assessed as to whether they have met the new Age Related Expectations (ARE).

In previous years, level 2B was the expected level, with level 2C and level 1 being below and level 2A and level 3 higher.
